It’s August, and you know what that means! Halloween merch is out! We’ll be putting together more in-depth guides to the various stores over the next week or so, but here is an overview of some of our favorite items. The glory days of high-end Halloween items seems to be over. While and still have some items, this year (unless there is a second wave to be released) Pier 1 has the best selection. At the lower end of the price spectrum, has some great stuff, as usual, while and have a more modest selection.

Pier 1:

There’s a lot of great stuff this year, but my most likely to buy item is this cake stand because it will complement similar items I have from Pottery Barn from past years.

Pottery Barn:

Halloween Beverage Dispenser Base, $39.95

A reduced selection compared to last year. Top of my list is the skull stand. I already have a Pottery Barn drink dispenser, so this will complete the set.

Williams Sonoma:

Ghost Figural Mug, $9.50

Not much this year, but this ghost mug is very cute. I can see myself sipping tea from this any time of the year.

 

 

Target:

Ellison Bird Cage 10″ Adjustable Pendant, $89.99

This year, the collection is separated into three themed categories. Our goth souls love black and purple, so the “” collection is my favorite. Of the collection, this pendent lamp is one of the pricier items, but it is also one of the most likely to get year-round use.

 

 

Michaels:

Tabletop Resin Hand By Ashland, $12.99

Michaels has also divided its Halloween offerings into themes, and it is probably no surprise that “” is our favorite. This palmistry hand would be a great addition to our collection.

 

 

 

Joann Fabrics:

Star Wars R2-D2 Flannel Fabric 42”-Tossed Ghost, $10.99 per yard

While they have a decent selection of decor items, the real reason you go to Joann’s is the fabric. Halloween is the time to stock up on spooky fabric for a year’s worth of crafting. I’m thinking this flannel with R2D2 in a ghost costume will make some excellent winter pajamas.
